Pur Cosmetics Mystery Box

Happy Thursday, y’all! Thursday means it’s almost Friday, and that means it’s almost the weekend!! I have no idea why I get excited about the weekend haha With the hubs working seven days a week, and me not working outside of my home, weekends are pretty much irrelevant. They still excite me, though. Speaking of getting excited, PUR Cosmetics recently offered mystery grab bags. If you watch YouTube at all, mystery boxes from eBay, are all the rage. In fact, there are over 10,000 hits for mystery box on the auction site. Wow! Some are complete rip offs, and some are pretty cool. When I got an email from PÜR with the offer, I just couldn’t pass it up!

So here’s the deal … for $25, plus shipping, you got five full size products, plus a mini, and the grab bag is valued at up to $100. I’d say that’s a great deal!! Unfortunately, they do seem to be sold out. They are still hyping it up on the website, so hopefully that means they will be restocking. Alright, let’s get on into the grab bag! **Edit: I got an email this afternoon about ordering a mystery grab bag, so I followed the link and they appear to have restocked. YAY!!! This grab bag contains SIX full sized products, so even better!!

PÜR included just about everything you need to create a full face! Now, let’s take a peek at the look I created with these products:

There are two products that I am not totally in love with. The first is the blush. Even with a light touch, it is just too dark for my very fair skin tone. I think it would be gorgeous on someone with a medium skin tone, though. The second product is the lipstick, which really bums me out. I am a sucker for deep berry lippies, and this one just falls a bit short. It is very glide-y, which causes it to be patchy. Also, it clung to the even the slightest of dry spots, causing those areas to grab more pigment. What may work for this lippie, though, is layering it over a lip liner, or even a matte lipstick for a custom shade. That should help it to stick better, and resolve the patchiness. The other products, eye shadow palette, mascara, eyeliner and makeup brush, are all pretty great! The mini in this grab bag was the mascara. Out of anything that could have been a mini, that’s the best one, in my opinion. The Fully Charged formula is a good formula, don’t get me wrong, but mascara is something I tend not to experiment with. The shadows are nicely pigmented and blend well, and the eyeliner is quite creamy.

I am pretty happy with this mystery purchase and I will be on the lookout for another opportunity to get one. Have you ever purchased a mystery box/grab bag? Was it a trick or a treat? Which companies have you purchased these delights from? Lemme know! I’d love to hear your thoughts!

Bougie on a Budget ~ Hautelook

** This post contains affiliate links. Please read my disclosure here.**

Happy Friday, friends! It’s the weekend again! I cannot tell you how happy and thankful I am to have my truck back. I was without transportation for about three weeks. When you live 20 miles from everyone and everything, and your spouse is working out of town, not having transportation is TOUGH! I don’t have many places to be, but there are the occasional doctor appointments and grocery trips. We don’t have trash service, which means trips to the recycling center with our trash. It has been a challenge haha and I hope I don’t have to deal with that again for a long time.

That being said, we had THOUSANDS of errands to run yesterday, of course. I left my house at 10:30am and we didn’t get home until after 7 last night. We had dorm shopping to get done, two doctor appointments, the bank, small grocery shopping, pharmacy pick ups and a quick trip to the local JC Penny to see if they finished building the Sephora. Sigh … it won’t be finished until September 8. I could barely move when we finally got home. My daughter, precious thing that she is, unloaded everything and got it all put away. Not only that, but she cleaned out the fridge. That alone deserves an award haha So, because I was completely ruined last night, I apologize that I couldn’t get a post up.

Today’s post should make up for that, a bit. I don’t know if you guys watch any beauty influencers on YouTube, but one of my favorites is Jessica Braun. In one of her videos she talked about Hautelook, so I had to check it out. Basically, they create events, in which luxury brands are offered at up to 75% off retail. The events last just a few days, and then they are gone. Currently, there’s a MAC event, ending Aug 21. There are events for makeup, beauty products, fragrance, clothing for the whole family, shoes, accessories and home goods.

When I checked them out, they were having a Lorac event. I’ve never tried Lorac products, but I have heard good things about them, so I decided what better time to try them out! I purchased the Natural Performance foundation, and the Touch-up To Go concealer and foundation pen. Amazon carries the foundation (only in light/medium) for                      (affiliate link embedded in image)

$36, Prime eligible. Lorac lists it for the same price. The Lorac website lists the concealer for $16, and Amazon does not offer the concealer.

That’s not exactly a drug store price point for the foundation. I have seen some drug store concealers come close to $16, though, but only recently, and I want to say it was a “higher end” drug store brand, if that’s a thing haha I was able to get these items from Hautelook for $9.97, each. That’s a pretty significant savings! Shipping was $5.95 and with tax, the total was $27.96. Still more than $10 less than the foundation’s full price! (Both of these items will be featured in next week’s Makeup Monday post, so be sure to check that out!)

There are some cons, however. The first is kind of a small one, but orders are generally not eligible for free shipping until you hit the $100 mark. That’s pretty steep, if free shipping is important to you. The second big con, for me anyway, is delivery time. I placed my order on July 25, and received my package yesterday. Three weeks after I placed my order. From what I understand, Hautelook orders your products from the company itself (Lorac, in this case), then they ship everything to you. Which makes total sense when they do these events. Considering they don’t know how successful an event may or may not be, it doesn’t make sense to keep a stock of these products. Not only that, it cuts down significantly on their overhead costs, not having to warehouse all of the products. That translates into more savings for us!

If time, or quick shipping are not huge factors for you, I strongly urge you to look into Hautelook for your luxury needs. Not only will you (and your family, and your home) look amazing, your bank account will breathe a sigh of relief hahaha

What do you all think? Do you know about Hautelook? Have you ordered from them? Lemme know all about your amazing finds!

This week in makeup news Aug 8 – Aug 13

Hello dear friends! Welcome to the newest addition to the Look Good, Feel Good lineup! Sundays will be for posting makeup related news, new releases, etc. Without further ado, let’s jump right in!

ColourPop is coming to Sephora!! According to sources, the low, low prices we all love will NOT go up. Look for this awesome brand to hit shelves sometime in November. Also in Colourpop news, the popular Fem Rosa palette will restock on Aug 17 at 10am PST, 1pm EST, for $16. If you have been wanting this palette as much as I have, do not wait! Set an alarm on your phone if you need to. The Yes, Please palette restocked on Thursday and sold out almost immediately. This will probably be the same. The website is currently running a special on their Bring The Heat collection. Buy any two single items in the collection, get one free!

Kat Von D News!! The new Shade + Light Creme Contour palette is available online now and retails for $49 at Sephora and the Kat Von D Beauty website. The palette is refillable. This will be on shelves Aug 25. Also available now from Kat Von D Beauty is a line of cruelty free, vegan brushes. Face brushes range in price from $24-$38. There only seems to be two eye brushes listed, Glimmer Effect Eye Brush #50 ($24) and Shade + Light Eye Contour Brush ($27). All products from Kat Von D beauty are cruelty free and a lot are vegan. This very busy lady also unveiled her new line of liquid lippies, Everlasting Glimmer Veil  Glitter Lipstick. These are hugely pigmented and gorgeous! One shade, Reverb, is available now. The other eight launch Aug 22.

Wet n Wild’s new Midnight Mermaid collection hits Ulta on Aug 13, which is today! This 12-piece collection is loaded with metallic liquid eye shadows, lippies, eyeliner and a Mega Glo highlight bar, complete with a mermaid tail pressed into the product. The collection goes live on Wet n Wild’s website Aug 14. I just checked on my Ulta app, though, and I don’t see anything mermaid-y from Wet n Wild. Every source I have checked says it’s launching today at Ulta … I wonder if there has been a delay?

The Dose of Colors Desi x Katy Collection goes live Aug 14. If you like sparkle, this is the collab for you! The collection includes two liquid matte lipsticks, two lipsticks, a liploss, and eyeshadow quad and two highlights. You can get the collection here.

Ciaté is releasing an innovative new liquid lipstick line called Glitter Flip, on Aug 15. From what I can tell, it goes on like a normal liquid lipstick. Leave it to dry for two minutes, then press your lips together. According to the website, this activates the glitter and you now have a full coverage glitter lip! You can also run your finger over your lips to activate. This interesting product will come in seven dazzling shades and can be ordered here.

eos has released another innovative product … transparent vegan lip balm! Available in two flavors, Hibiscus Peach and Vanilla Orchid, these products are exactly what they sound like. The are a crystal clear balm, in eos’ signature shape and packaging. Called Crystal Lip Balm, it is currently sold out on their website, but can be found Walmart, Target, CVS, and Walgreens, for around $5.50.

Juvia’s Place has released multicolored brushes and they are available now! The brushes look a little like Neapolitan ice cream haha They offer a 3-piece face set for $18 and a 5-piece eye set for $15.

Urban Decay has expanded their already expansive Vice lipstick line by adding 15 new shades to the collection. Basically, there are no details, except this sneak peek photo on their Instagram feed. They are pretty, so stay tuned for more details!

Huda Beauty Textured Shadows palette in Rose Gold is back in stock at Sephora. However, this palette is being discontinued this October. The $65 palette is currently available at Sephora and the Huda Beauty site. Despair not, though. The new Desert Dusk palette has several similar shades.

Good news if you participate in Sephora’s Beauty Insider rewards program! Now through Aug 19, you can earn more points with your purchase. Beauty Insiders will receive twice the bonus points per order, VIB members will earn 3-times and VIB Rouge members will receive 4-times the points. You don’t have to do anything extra, just order as usual and the extra points will be applied! Also happening, from now until Nov 1, they will be running Weekly Wow. Each week, various products will be offered at significant savings. Thanks, Sephora ♥♥

Ulta is also running a points promotion now, as well! If you participate in their Ultamate Rewards program, now through Aug 19, members will receive 2x the points on all purchases. Platinum members will receive 3x the points! Also, earn 5x the points on select lip purchases and on all No. 7 brand purchases! As always, there’s a $3.50 off your order of $15 or more coupon, located in the app. It can be used online or in stores. Thanks, Ulta ♥♥

Phew! So what do you think of the newest addition the blog? I think I’m liking it! What do y’all think of the new releases? What important news did I miss? I’m certain there was plenty that I missed hahaha Lemme know what you think!

Bougie on a Budget ~ Givenchy Rouge Interdit Lipstick

Happy Friday, friends! Whoo hoo, I don’t know about you guys, but I am thankful for the weekend! I’ve had lots of errands this week, so I am glad to have a few days of nothing. For today’s Bougie on a Budget, let’s talk about rewards programs. Any opportunity you have to join a store, or brand’s, rewards program, you should do it. They are usually free and, depending on how often you shop, can pay off pretty quickly. Today, we’re going to talk about Sephora’s rewards program, Beauty Insider.

Sephora offers three levels of rewards, Insider, Very Important Beauty, and VIB Rouge. When you first join, everyone starts as an Insider. At this level, participants receive a birthday gift, access to the rewards bazaar, access to the Beauty Insider community and free beauty classes. Once you spend $350 in a calendar year, you get upgraded to VIB. Benefits include everything from Insider, plus monthly gifts, and one free custom makeover. Should you spend $1000 at Sephora in a year, you get everything from Insider and VIB plus free 2-day shipping, access to a private hotline, and invitations to exclusive events.

I think I order a lot from Sephora, and I am $43 away from VIB status. I am pretty excited about that! I’m quite curious as to the monthly gifts, honestly. This is Bougie on a Budget, after all haha You also get a complimentary VIB welcome kit when you upgrade to that level. The best thing about being part of the rewards program, though, is access to the Rewards Bazaar. For every dollar you spend, you are awarded points. When you place an order, you have the option of cashing in those points for deluxe-sized products. Every month, the products change, and they are not cheesy products. They are high quality, often high-end, luxury brand products. There are different products for different amounts of points. This month, for 100 points each, you can get Sephora Collection LashCraft Big Volume Mascara, Tatcha The Water Cream, CoverFX Custom Enhancer Drops, MIU MIU L’eau Bleue, Sunday Riley U.F.O. Ultra-Clarifying Face Oil, Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Gel, REN Keep Young and Beautiful™ Instant Firming Beauty Shot, Urban Decay Vice Liquid Lipstick, Tocca Stella, Make Up Forever Aqua XL Color Paint Shadow, YSL Mon Paris Eau de Parfum, and Prada Candy Gloss. For 250 points each, the choices are Urban Decay Perfect Prep Set, Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue Eau Intense, L’Occitane Dream Moisturizing Duo, and a Sephora Polka Dot Tote. At 500 points each, the options are bareMinerals Best of bareMinerals, Tarte Skin Heroes Discovery set, First Aid Beauty Beauty Script, Alterna Haircare Caviar Anti-Aging, Dr. Brandt Skincare Polish & Plump, and Amika Treat, Style, Extend. At the 750-2500 points each level, they offer a Josie Maran Dream Big set. At 3000-4500, the choice is an Urban Decay Aspiring Artist Starter Kit. From 5000-15000, the offering is WildFox Sole X WildFox Dutch Bicycle … a bicycle AND perfume! For anything over 20,000 points, the offering is a trip for two to Verb Southwest Fest, in Austin. This reward includes round trip airfare for two to Austin, TX, three nights’ hotel accomodations, two three-day VIP passes to Austin City Limits (including food and beverage), meet and greet with Verb founding team, and a Verb goodie bag, valued at $200. WOW, Y’ALL!!! I’ll never save up enough point for something like that, but I think it’s pretty awesome that they have such a wide range of rewards.

Phew … that was a lot of background info to talk about the awesome Bougie on a Budget “purchase”. Last month, Sephora offered Givenchy’s Rouge Interdit satin lipstick, in the shade Fuscia-In-The-Know.

Yes, it’s a small lippie haha, but it’s a free Givenchy lipstick. Free makes any size worth it, in my book. This is a very bright, beautiful color.

It went on so smooth, and is so creamy and light!! (Look at those lashes btw, y’all ♥♥) It dries down just a little bit, giving it a semi-matte appearance. It is not transfer-proof, though, and performs just like any normal lipstick. It does have some staying power, though. Wish I could say the same for that eyeliner today haha

20632667_10155627353504357_1598124090_n

Being long wearing is one of the claims, but there isn’t a whole lot left after 2 ½ hours. I did eat a snack, and I’ve been drinking through a straw for most of that time. It’s certainly not the worst, as far as staying power. It is very comfortable, and my lips felt very hydrated when applied. They still feel pretty good.

I am very happy with my very free, very bougie lipstick. This line retails for $34. Is it worth $34?? Hmm … no. Aside from the name, there isn’t anything really special about this lippie. If I can get another for free, though, I will jump on that offer.

Do you have a favorite rewards program? What kind of cool products did you get? Let me know all about it!

LOL what a week (and a mini haul)

Hahaha good Friday, lovelies! I dunno about y’all, but this has just been a week and I am incredibly glad it’s Friday. Not only have we had unpleasant weather, I’ve had awful flares AND I was plagiarized. I got so excited yesterday, looking at all the views I racked up … then I realized the views were mostly me, grabbing links to address the nastiness that happened. Sigh … ahhhh Life, I see you … you funny beast! If ever there was a lesson in humility, it’s been this entire week. And that’s okay … obviously this was a lesson Life thought I needed. I didn’t need to be slapped quite so hard in the face, though. I can grasp subtlety, for future reference.

Yesterday’s posting was supposed to be my Ipsy and Birchbox unboxing. Of course, I cannot find that stuff anywhere! Also, I was on my laptop, literally all day, researching copyright information and violations, ways to make my blog less easily copied, etc. I’m also too trusting of a soul, apparently, and I forget the world is full of selfish, heartless people. They aren’t all like me, or you.

So, instead of making myself crazy looking for everything I need for that post, I thought I would post a little haul from e.l.f. I dunno about you guys, but I LOVE their makeup and most of their skin care products. Their eyeshadows and blushes are very well pigmented, lip products are outstanding, foundations are incredible (mostly lol). You get the picture. I honestly don’t know how they do it at their price point.

20227426_10155582405954357_457331442_n

The first product I am loving is the hydrating gel mist. It’s such a confusing product!! It’s quite thick in the bottle, but it sprays out wonderfully and it somehow transforms into a more water-like product, once it hits the skin. My parched cheeks are in love so far!

The eye shadow is the Island Breeze palette from the new Ultra Pigment Cushion line of shadows. I’m not real sure why it’s called a cushion shadow, because it’s not at all similar in formula to cushion correctors or foundations. It’s definitely powder. It is buttery and soft, but not cushion-y. The website says they melt into a cream, and have a dewy finish. I didn’t see any of that happening on my hand. The satin finishes are not all that pigmented, as you can see from the finger swatches, The shimmer shades, though, are incredible. The shade closest to my knuckles is the silvery one, first on the bottom row. I swatched totally backwards haha I figured we all know what black liquid liner looks like, so I didn’t swatch. (Please disregard the fact that it looks like I have no fingers in these swatches. My nails are in terrible shape this week haha and no one wants to see that mess.)

The blush/bronzer duo is called St Lucia and I think it will go really well with my skin tone. The blush is a peachy tone, which I don’t normally go for, but it just looks really pretty! And can we talk about this liquid highlighter real quick?? I’m not sure how this will work on top of powder or foundation, or if it will even show up under those things. Mercy, it’s beautiful, though!!

Finally, we have some lippies! The first is part of their new matte liquid lipstick line, in Wine Tour. The color is just gorgeous, and it’s not streaky, which can be tough for darker shades. The other is a lightly pigmented lip balm with SPF 15. This would be a great on-the-go lippie to keep in your purse to ensure you have some sun protection on your lips. It’s easy to forget that our lips need protection, too, and lipsticks won’t do it. I think this shade is light enough that you could put it on under other lippies, and it won’t alter the shade too much. It is pretty sheer, once applied. I went a little crazy in the swatch so you could see the color, which is listed as pink. Hmm, ya don’t say haha

Also, for my budget bougie peeps out there … Nordstrom is having their anniversary sale, starting today and running through August 6. Lots of fantastic deals in beauty! Some products are nearly half off!! The link I added goes straight to the beauty section of the sale. I looked through it this morning and there may be a few things in my cart hahahaha Prices go up August 7. Don’t miss out on this awesome sale!

I think that’s all I have in me for today, lovelies. Let’s cross our fingers that next week will be a quiet, calm, peaceful week. No flares, no thievery. Just you and me, trying to get through this life as best we can, with the cards we’ve been dealt, and looking great while we’re doing it!

Bougie on a Budget ~ Mascara Edition

Let me start by saying that I am a waterproof mascara girl. I have watery eyes, I live in central SC and it’s summertime. Even in winter, I use waterproof formulas because of the watery eye situation. In my freebie pack from Lancôme the other week was a mascara. I assumed it would be a product that I gave away because it was regular ‘ol mascara. I was in a hurry to get out of the house this morning, so it was a mascara and lipstick only kinda morning. I thought I would give this a shot, and if I looked like a raccoon twenty minutes after we left the house, then so be it.

Boy, was I WRONG!! We left the house at 9:30 this morning. It is currently 11:10 pm and I just took these photos. My daughter had an appointment, we got gas, went to Walmart and I had my eyebrows and upper lip done. We got home around 2:30. With the heat index today, it was 105°. I took a nap later in the afternoon. This is the result, y’all:

Can y’all believe this mascara has been on my face nearly 14 hours, in insane heat, with mildly watery eyes and through a nap??? Aside from a little bit of flakiness on my right eye, this stuff looks nearly perfect!!! Because this was literally all I had time to do before flying out of the house, I put it on the upper and lower lashes, which I rarely do. I usually just put mascara on my upper lashes and call it good. What is this miracle product from Lancôme, you ask??

img_1777
Mini Mascara

This is their Défincils formula in black. It retails for $27.50 and comes in black, deepest black and deep brown. This formula is also available in a black travel size for $13.00. It gives a natural enhancement to your existing lashes and is suitable for contact lens wearers, which is huge. If you’ve ever worn a mascara that isn’t compatible with contact lenses, you’ll know pretty quick. Don’t ask me how I know. I have never felt such an intense sting in all my years.

Depending on how often and how much mascara you wear, the travel size may be a good option. This is Bougie on a Budget, after all. However, this formula would be WELL worth the full price. According to their website, this is “the number 1 mascara for over 16 years!” Not only has it been number one, it’s also award winning. It doesn’t mention what award, though. Budget doesn’t always mean spending as little as possible, although being thrifty is certainly as aspect of “budget friendly” purchases. To me, budget friendly items are those that will give you the best value for your dollar. I really think this mascara (in either size) is a great value. Just look at those pics of my peepers, and consider everything this formula was up against today. I REALLY put it to the test and it came out on top. Brava Lancôme!! I will be ordering from you again!

Lippie Haul

I really love lipstick. It just pulls a look together, ya know? There are three things I can’t be without: mascara, lip color (of some kind) and my sterling silver hoop earrings. As long as I have those three things, I can feel put together. I went on a spree of sorts over the last week or two haha I mean, Tarte was having a sale, Jeffree Star launched his summer collection, Bloomingdale’s had an awesome “free gift with purchase” deal, and my cousin sells Younique. What’s a lippie lover to do?? Go a little crazy is the correct answer hahahaha so, I thought I’d share my crazy with y’all!

I didn’t go that crazy …

Okay, okay … maybe I did. Check out these colors though! I didn’t show the Lancôme lippies without their lids because it just didn’t make sense.

And check out these swatches! I will put captions on these photos so you know what you’re looking at.

Phew … I think I got all of that right haha There are some things about a few of the products you should know. The Tarte LipSurgence in Energy Noir is a sheer berry tint. The formula is designed to work with your pH to provide the perfect berry shade for you. I love lippies that do that! The Lancôme Juicy Shaker barely shows up. I mean barely. I am pretty disappointed. They aren’t kidding when they say “sheer tint of color.” Maybe it too closely matches my natural lip color to show up. I dunno, but it was kind of a waste of $22 for me. It may be my imagination, but I swear this Juicy Shaker smells like Hubba Bubba bubble gum to me. Mmmmmm!!! The Jeffree Star lippies are LOADED with glitter. LOADED! I don’t say that like it’s a bad thing, and clearly, you can see they are glittery. Be prepared for glitter EVERYWHERE when you go to remove them. I was not prepared hahahaha Also, I would recommend using an oil to remove the Velour Liquid Lipstick formulas. Liquid lipsticks can be difficult to remove, and this was no exception. It was easier than some formulas I’ve worn, though.

That’s it! That’s my lippie haul from the past two weeks, or so. What’s your favorite lippie formula? What’s your favorite shade?  Lemme know!

Try-It Tuesday Makeup Brush Cleaner

**This post contains affiliate links**

Have you ever been doing your makeup and you’ve run out of clean brushes? I have, especially with eye shadow brushes. No one wants to actually wash their brushes, because they’ll never dry in time. I had to resort to rubbing my bristles across a tissue, which leaves fibers behind, that stick to everything. Definitely not the best option. So what’s a person to do?

Wonder no more, y’all! Check out Zodaca Brush Color Removal Sponge, Clean Makeup Brushes Easily/ Swiftly Switch To Next Color / Remove Shadow Color from Makeup Brushes. (<< affiliate link) I saw Jessica Braun talk about a similar product on her YouTube channel and I had to check it out for myself. No water. No cleaning solution. No waiting for anything to dry. It comes in a small tin, and inside is a rough sponge.

This product claims to clean brushes in three seconds. I think three seconds might be generous. As quick as it takes to swirl your brush across the sponge is how long it takes to clean it. I was shocked at how well this little contraption works … it’s genius!! It’s so stinking simple, and incredibly effective.

Look how clean that brush came!! I purposely loaded it full of shadow so you could see just how well this little sponge pulled it out. And it pulled ALL of it out! To say this product changed my life is not an understatement. I’m not being dramatic. It has saved me quite a bit of time and energy when I am getting ready, especially if I’m in a hurry. This little do-dad is 100% worth the price. This is not meant to be a replacement for cleaning and disinfecting all of our brushes once a week. That is still a must, y’all.

Try it out! Let me know what you think. Is there another product that you use to pull color out of your brushes? I hope you all have had a happy and safe 4th of July celebration!

Bougie on a budget

**This post contains affiliate links**

This post is the first in a series that will talk about getting the most bang for your buck with luxury products.

I’ll admit it. I can be pretty bougie. I think we all, more or less, have the potential. I like to call my approach bougie on a budget.  Ebates  (<< affiliate link) sent me an email that Bloomingdale’s was having a sale on Lâncome. Of course I jumped on it! Let’s all take a moment and look at this eyeshadow …

img_1776

And this came FREE! All I had to do was spend $39 in Lâncome products (the lippies) and I got a six-piece gift set free! I am all over those “free gift with purchase” offers. Here’s my entire Bloomingdale’s haul, minus the eyeshadow above:

I am so excited to create a look with those eyeshadows. I am not a fan of finger swatches, or brush swatches, because neither really give a true impression of how the shadow will perform on the eyelid. Trust me when I tell you those shadows are PIGMENTED! And the shimmer is stunning!! Heck, the shimmer is stunning in the pan hahaha

This haul is another reason to love Ebates. (<< affiliate link) They let you know when their affiliates are having AMAZING sales. So not only do you get to take advantage of sales you might otherwise not be aware of, but you get to MAKE money while you do it! Sorry, this is NOT another Ebates post. I swear. But, because of them, I got a beautiful gift set, free, along with some pretty cool lip products! I’ll do some swatches tomorrow of everything. Even though I said I don’t love swatches haha, y’all just have to see those shadows at work!

How to make money without leaving your house

**This post contains affiliate links**

When you have a chronic condition, leaving your house to shop can be a daunting task. It takes a lot of time to get ready to leave the house, and the trip itself can be an arduous task. I don’t know about you, but I tend to walk quite slow because I hurt. What may be a thirty minute jaunt for healthy people could be a two hour nightmare for us. I mean nightmare literally.

Often, there aren’t enough handicapped parking spaces, if you’re lucky enough to have a handicapped placard for your vehicle. That means we’ll end up walking farther than we really should. Then come the stares when you get out of your vehicle. Because we look healthy, people assume we are. When we exit the vehicle without a wheelchair or some type of aid, we get all sorts of nasty looks from people in the parking lot. Once we get through that, we have to navigate gargantuan stores. Why do they have to be sooooo large?? I am not ready to drive around in the little electric carts. Not yet. It’s a mental thing for me. So, I brave the mega-stores on foot, knowing how badly I will pay for it. I usually take a pain med before I go in, hoping to ward off the worst of it.

Most shopping can be done online, these days. THANK YOU, INTERWEBS!! Online grocery shopping isn’t a thing here, yet. Dry goods can always be ordered, of course, but not actual groceries. Everything else, though, can be delivered to my door with a few keystrokes. Did you know there are ways to actually make money on those purchases? Wanna know the secret? You have to promise to keep it just between us, okay?

Ebates! Ebates is the answer! Nearly any online store you can imagine is affiliated with them and offer varying percentages of cash back on purchases. Until July 1, Walmart is offering 10% cash back. 10%!!! That can be quite significant if you are ordering your household supplies for the month. Sephora, Ulta, Macy’s, Bloomingdales all have cash back offers. I started my account May 5, and I have over $37 in cash back already. Not bad when you consider most offers are around 3%. That 3% adds up!! Also, I may have a slight shopping problem hehe There are times when these companies double their cash back offers, too.

Check them out here. (<<affiliate link) If you do as much as I do to avoid going out, and possibly create a worse health situation, I highly recommend checking Ebates out. I mean, if you’re going to shop online anyway, you may as well get some cash back from it! Lemme know what you think … do you use a rebate service already? If not, why not?
